Alphabetland The Series

The Alphabetland Series is designed to help K - 3 students remember the unusual phonics patterns taught in the English language. The stories and illustrations use humor, repetition, and problem solving to promote understanding and fluency.
The colorful illustrations are designed to engage readers and support comprehension.
There are 26 letters in Alphabetland and 5 want to be different. Your students will enjoy listening to how the 5 letters try to be different. Students get to problem solve with the letters and learn why vowels make a long and short sound.
R cannot stand the sounds the vowels are making. He decides to leave Alphabetland. The letters try several humorous ways to get R to stay. Your students will enjoy learning about the “R” controlled vowels.
The “oo” twins should say the long o sound but there is a problem. The principal tries several ideas to help the letters find a solution. Your students will laugh as they learn why “oo” has two different sounds.
6 consonants challenge 5 vowels to a game of volleyball. The vowels ask “Y” to join them. The vowels win and decide “Y” should be a vowel. Students will enjoy hearing how the letters solve this one!
